Last June 18, the online meeting of 2nd General Assembly of the CuttingEdge4.0 was held.
During the meeting, the partners reviewed the progress of the different tasks, commented the delays produced by the Covid-19 pandemic, discussed about risks and corrective actions and planned and prepared upcoming six months of the project.
PWO Czech Republic, in collaboration with Faurecia, has continued working in the process monitoring of a cold stamping line. The process data is being collected for the development of a machine learning expert system by Eurecat. CRF is defining and preparing the test configuration for the semi-industrial tests to be performed in the next months.
Results from the materials characterisation (Voestalpine, Tata Steel and CRF) and the development of experimental tests (Voestalpine, Eurecat, Tata Steel, Faurecia) and modelling (LTU, Eurecat) for the edge-cracking prediction were also shown and discussed.
The meeting was attended by all consortium partners: Eurecat (CuttinEdge4.0’s project coordinator), the Luleå University of Technology, Voestalpine, Faurecia, Centro Ricerche Fiat, Tata Steel Research & Development and PWO Czech Republic.
